Abstract:
This disclosure proposes a method to extend the viewing angle of the camera on the next generation AIO system and to enable mounting on SCO systems.
Background:
There is a large dead zone for the camera when mounting the latest All in One system on the next generation Self Checkout System. The viewing angle for the camera built into the AIO will not make the SCO ADA compliant in the as mounted state.
To add an additional camera would be a nice/easy solution but would definitely be too expansive and not provide a nice appearance.
Description:
Our proposal is to embed a mirror mechanism over the enclosure of the camera with a proper optical design. It can extend the viewing angle of the camera to enable ADA compliance. That way we won't need to either rotate the camera which is not possible in the new AIO or tilt the system to achieve the right viewing angle.
We don't won't need to add any additional camera to enlarge the viewing angle either.
