Power Line Ethernet to USB-C adapter

Abstract:
This solution brings the POS system easier maintenance and better serviceability by reducing the cabling necessary for the system. 

Background:
In our current offering, there are a lot of cables in the rear side of the systems including networking cables, adapter cables, and cables connecting to the devices.  This brings  costly cable management, and the cables can block the air flow which can introduce thermal and cooling issues.  More cables can also mean more cost and more serviceability cost also.

Our solution is to use a new technology that would introduce fewer ports/cables/space.

Description:
There is a new advantage USB-C introduced in our host system now.  We can re-architect the power adapter as the attached block diagram below shows.

In brief, the power line can deliver the power and the network by the industrial standard as (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HomePlug), the new power adapter will be able to differentiate the power line and ethernet for our system.  If we can re-architect the power adapter, we can add a few blocks to make it possible to interlock with the USB-C port on the host system.  (which USB-C carries the USB signal, Power source supply).  With this new single cable adapter, we can eliminate the power cable plus network cable into one single USB-C port.

In the cases of dual ethernet environment, our host system can be easily upgraded to a dual ethernet capable POS system which some countries request.  (it really depends, if you want to eliminate Power Connector, and Ethernet, it will could be one case - from 3 ports to one single port.  If you want to be a dual-ethernet capable, it will become 4 ports to 2 ports
