Abstract:
This disclosure proposes a tablet sunshade with customer display built in and partially powered by battery charged from solar film to capture the sun while the tablet is outside.
Background:
Most retailers have click and collect with pickup outside in the parking lot. Fast food places are staffing people with mobile tablets in the drive thru to take orders. The problems are they must use a sunshade to be able to see their screen on a sunny day. In this scenario with the mobile order taker, the customer doesn’t generally get to see the menu board. Some have them carry a card to show the customer what the options are if they ask. Also, they don’t know the total until they are told.

Description:
Solution: See Illustration: A tablet sunshade with customer display built in and partially powered by battery charged from solar film to capture the sun while the tablet is outside. Mechanically designed to have a pivot in the center such that the sunshade could flip in two directions. One faces the customer and flip over to face the cashier. This allows the customer to have a menu screen if they wish, that is shaded from the sun. They can also have access to the UI (user interface) if they need to make a selection.
