Abstract:
In the current SCO design, we have stationary and tilting Pin Pad bracket designs. In the stationary Pin Pad bracket, it only allows one fixed tilting degree. For 2nd or multiple tilting designs, it will be fulfilled by tilting Pin Pad bracket with hinge designs. Our idea is to have a simple and cost efficient stationary Pin Pad bracket to support more than 1 tilting degree.
Background:
In the current Self Checkout System, the stationary Pin Pad bracket is supported at a certain tilting degree. For the demand to support multiple degrees, we usually design a tilting Pin Pad bracket with a hinge. Our idea is to have a simple and cost-efficient bracket to fulfill multiple tilting degrees.
Description:
Our concept is to use the screws to adjust the tilting degree. Take 2 tilting degrees as an example.
When the customer would like to have a 10 degrees tilting angle, they can install the higher screws to fix the pinpad. The customer can change the tilting degree to 25 degrees when they change the screw location to lower one. If the bracket can have more screw holes, it will have more tilting angles in a bracket.
It will be simpler design and cost benefit without a hinge design.
