Abstract:
This disclosure proposes a single simple 360-degree interface that blurs the line between the customer and cashier.

Background:
Point of sale systems are made up of Hardware components to preform retail function.
Displays are generally flat with a flat display mounted on the back for 2-sided
interaction; Shopper and Cashier.

Description:
Solution: See Illustration below: 1 single simple 360-degree interface that blurs the line between the customer and cashier.  Many new display technologies (OLED for example) are thin and flexible, allowing designers to explore new types of interfaces / interactions.
The top of the display is one continuous screen that wraps from the main cashier screen to the 2nd customer screen. The underside of the system / display can be used to convey branding or traditional transaction awareness lighting TAL(transaction awareness light), for remote Sales Associate conformation of transaction state.
