Abstract:
This disclosure proposes to add a lock-in power adaptor latch to avoid releasing the latch accidentally and have the adapter unplug and thereby loose power to the system.

Background:
We have a problem with the power adaptor latch being effortless to release and it will often become accidentally unlatched and cause a power loss to the system. The solution from the supplier is to make the latch thicker and firmer, but this will cause the latch to be difficult to release for the user.

Description:
Add a sliding lock, push the adapter into position on the mating connector and then slide the lock back into place to lock the latch, and prevent the adapter from being accidentally unplugged. When the user wants to purposely remove the adapter they slide the lock forward and then release the latching tab as they normally would.
