Abstract:
This disclosure proposes a rolling film conveyer that covers the monitor with a sterilization device, and it can sterilize the film after each user has used the screen.

Background:
Since the spread of COVID-19, people are more focused on sterilization, cleanliness and social distancing. We think consumers are increasingly favoring self-checkout. But when they proceed to checkout, the touch screen could possibly be contaminated.
Frequent cleaning and sanitizing is a problem. How and how often should staff clean the touch screen? It is difficult to control. Also the disinfectant agent may damage the screen or reduce its life with frequently cleaning.

Description:
We propose a simple solution to implement an auto-sterilization film conveyor with a sterilization device such as a UV light. It operates similarly to kitchen-roll paper. Once the consumer completes the checkout and leave, the film conveyer will roll a necessary distance automatically. When the used film rolls behind the screen, the sterilization device sterilizes the film for a minimum of 30-40 seconds.
The auto-sterilization film conveyor is an accessory for self-checkout POS, which can help consumers checkout safely and efficiently and allow retailers to save money.  Retailers do not need to buy a new self-checkout machine with this function. Retailers only need to determine the size of the film required for their current POS device.
This device can be purchased as an optional item since it is mounted externally on the Display. Retailers can order this device separately. If the film conveyor breaks, the retailer can simply replace it.
