Abstract:
This Disclosure proposes a system to enable Augmented Reality to Pop-up coupons/discounts in real time.
Background:
During Covid-19 a lot of people avoided going directly to stores, this is not an issue right now, but may become a real problem again. To encourage people, stores may have in-store discounts, but we are proposing an eye-catching/striking solution
Description:
The idea is based on the functionality found in a popular online game, in the game the people are trying to catch digital monsters to fill a collection, so having this in mind, we have the next vision. What we propose is a promotion engine based on Augmented Reality technology while adding gamification process to the formula. Or vision is this: The retailer may define a "Discount Hour", a Digital fest that will encourage clients to find (via Augmented Reality) coupons to use in their next purchase. Benefits: - Gamification process will be attract shoppers to brick-and-mortar retail store. - Retail may use this system to attract shopper to certain products/aisles/zones - Retailer will generate shopper traffic at desirable schedule/days/hours - Post-Pandemic incentive, while following personal heath recommendations The system proposed is flexible enough to enable the benefits out of the store also (i.e. shopper's home), The decisions of how to implement this benefits will be in the retailers hands. The coupons proposed are not limited to one type, most likely the shoppers may find Discount Coupons, or Promotion Coupons, or In-Store-Money Coupons, or Target Coupons, or Item Coupons, or many others.
